Anja Mayer

I began my professional career with an apprenticeship as a tax clerk, which I completed in 1994 with a qualification as a tax clerk from the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Tax Consultants. After working in Germany for several years, my path led me to the financial centre of Luxembourg, where I acquired specialist knowledge in accounting and taxation at a large investment company in Luxembourg. The births of my daughters led me to prioritise my family in the following years, but I never completely gave up my

work as an accountant. During this time, I worked in a medium-sized company, which sensitised me to the requirements of a tax firm as a client. When I joined Breuer Tax & Accounting in 2020, I had the opportunity to return to my professional roots and contribute my experience in many areas. As I come from the Eifel region and speak the local dialect, I am one of the fewer than 300,000 people in the world who speak and understand the Luxembourgish language.
